Who we are

What we collect

• Website checks: the web address you check and the public information on it. Check reports are kept so you can return to them.
• Visitors: to stop misuse we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day. We never store your IP address.
• Accounts: your name and email address from Google, Microsoft or the email link you use to sign in. We never receive or store a password.
• Waitlist: which plan you’re interested in.
• Subscribers: your website address, the business details you approve (which we publish for AI assistants to read, as you ask us to), and your plan and billing status from Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• AI-assistant visits: if you use our WordPress plugin or hosted files, daily counts of visits by known AI crawlers (crawler name and number of visits only, no visitor data).
• Usage statistics: cookie-free page counts from Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Cookies

We only use cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms from misuse. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else processes data

Cloudflare (hosting and security), Resend (sign-in emails), Stripe (payments) and Anthropic (writing the plain-English summary in check reports, from public website text only).

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@knownbyai.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
